FAST FORWARDING THROUGH THE REST OF THE NBA REGULAR SEASON

With the NBA all star game behind us and the NBA’s buy out market pretty well settled, we’re officially into the homestretch of the NBA season. Conventional wisdom would tell you that if we just had the all star break that we must be about halfway through the season. The reality is that we’re right around two-thirds of the way through the season, give or take a game. So with a third of the season remaining, we went through, game by game and projected a winner. This exercise was done with the intent of projecting the final league standings as…

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: Who is Staying, Who is Leaving

Should I stay or should I go now? With 19 players reaching free agency once the new league year hits the Patriots have some decisions to make. Those 19 players include hall of fame quarterback and G.O.A.T. Tom Brady, who has a player option that will be voided. There are reports that there is a bottle neck of transactions…

BOSTON RED SOX: WE PLEAD FOR A 5th

The trade of lefty David Price to the Dodgers leaves the Red Sox in a precarious position. They only have four legitimate major league starters, that we know of. The option of using an “opener”, a concept made fashionable by the Tampa Bay Rays recently, for whom the Sox’ current top baseball man, Chaim Bloom has just arrived from this winter, has been tossed out there. Personally, I’ve never been a fan of the concept, and OBVIOUSLY the Sox are very concerned about the opinions being thrown about at You’re Ducking Right. For one, it over taxes a bullpen that…
