NFL POWER RANKINGS – WEEK 6

Some teams are still walking around doing their best Jay-Z impression: I got 99 problems, but a loss ain’t one.

The cream is starting to rise to the top. With about a third of the season out of the way the contenders are starting to show themselves, and The Pretenders would walk 500 miles if it meant they got a sniff of the playoffs.

Lets take a moment to review the current power rankings before a bonus “Top Ducks” feature ranking the top 5 quarterbacks and running backs in the game today.

  1. New England Patriots 5-0 (Previous ranking: 1)

  30. Cincinnati Bengals 0-5 (28)
  31. Washington Redskins 0-5 (30)
  32. Miami Dolphins 0-5 (32)

So now that we have the power rankings, lets take a look at the top quarterbacks in the game today. And despite the gaudy stats being posted every week, the pickings are still a bit slim. Look no further than a diminished cheesehead and a 42 year old slinger making the top 5.

Who are the Top Ducks?

  1. Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs
  2. Russell Wilson – Seattle Seahawks
  3. DeShaun Watson – Houston Texans
  4. Tom Brady – New England Patriots
  5. Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers

And what about the running backs? Who is performing at peak precision? Lets take a peak at the top dogs out there doing it right now. Please note that as soon as Saquon Barkley steps back onto that turf, he is instantly in the top 2 in debatable order. But for right now, he’s sitting on the sidelines.

  1. Ezekiel Elliott – Dallas Cowgirls
  2. Christian McCaffrey – Carolina Panthers
  3.  Dalvin Cook – Minnesota Vikings
  4. Alvin Kamara – New Orleans Saints
  5. Josh Jacobs – Oakland Raiders
